Saying au-revoir!

The course is nearly finished and the efforts are getting even bigger. But now, I can say that I have finished my final project. After a mail notifying me that my project is not selected, I can say au-revoir to Coco.

The project was about the great icon, Coco Chanel, and I've divided it into two parts: the tHeorical part is based on who Coco Chanel was, what she did -in a explained context-, and all her legacy, and on  the other hand I wanted to experience how a jacket was done by creating my own design after Chanel tweed.

The first part was a constant researching about Chanel biography, fashion history, the known brand and its evolution, and obviously its icons.
God saves us! When I decided to create my own design of a jacket I didn't even though how difficult it could be.  I wasn’t aware about the time that I should spend on that piece and the effort that supposed to me doing it on my own being a beginner. Luckily I have received the help of my sewing teacher!

My conclusions of the project in general were (copiyng directly):
"Coco Chanel was a fighter and enterprising woman who achieved her success in fashion. This success gave her a name, money and power, but also turned to a despot and dominant person, who, despite all of this, felt lonely and sad.
However this emotional part, she was the designer of 20th Century. She broke moulds not only in fashion but in sex difference. This is shown by the fact that nowadays Chanel it is still a pioneer brand."
Also, "some problems that I have was that it was difficult to find information at the beginning, but later I found the Dhub library where I could use many interesting books". Most of it were written in english, which was perfect because I wrote the entire project in that lenguage. Word by word. "Doing the project in a foreign language was more difficult if I would do it in Catalan but instead I have improved in my writing skills".

But the most gratifying conclusion is that after all... my efforts have been rewarded!

A U - R E V O I R!
